THE ART OF ALIGNMENT, a model for success
System's Diagnosis, using the EM Consulting Group Diagnosis Model a review of critical components of organizations, where alignment problems between planning and operations occur, is made. The diagnosis focuses on how Performance Management and Process Management relate or fit to a companies Vision, Mission Statement, and Goals and Objectives Planning. The EM Consulting Group model reviews Communication Channels, Organizational Culture, Customer Focus, and Operations Practices. The model is adaptable to specific situations, using tailored surveys when applicable, questionaires, observation, and interviewing.

Misalignment Analysis, based on data from the System's Diagnosis, a deeper look is taken into planning at the tactical level, focusing on specific methods planned for achieving targets set by Executive Short Term Planning. At this time, based on findings, rapid fire solutions are possible for problems identified, and can be targeted to individuals or smaller work teams within departments.

Solution Planning, based on our Diagnosis and Analysis we partner with appropriate Client employees to get further input and help in evaluating ideas and solutions for tactical operations improvements. At this level the misalignment problems might involve entire departments of an organization, and require broader change efforts, possibly restructured processes or training programs. Value Stream mapping usually occurs at this stage to clarify assumptions prior to undertaking changes to operations.

Change Implementation, we continue partnering with our Client in planning new process changes, and designing programs specific to our clients needs . We assist our Clients in self implementation of change efforts or facilitate the implementation for our Client.


Coaching, based on our Misalignment Analysis, we will tailor specific coaching solutions based on our trademarked (ART OF ALIGNMENT) model for individuals or work teams missing performance targets. Coaching can be incrementally delivered to Supervisors and Management in entire work areas or departments. After initial set-up, a coaching relationship can be maintained with client companies either remotely, or at the client site.
